Beauty Captured- 10/06/2013

While exploring the tidepools at Crystal Cove beach, California with my husband Chuck, I saw this seagull just waiting. We saw lots of sealife and I took lots of photos. We received a pamphlet from the Crystal Cove Conservancy to help identify what we saw. We looked up the low tide times and started on our adventure. It was lots of fun.
What are tidepools? Tidepools are pools left behind when the water recedes. Lots of animals can be seen in the pools. Some live there all the time others are trapped by the drop in water level but they can only be seen low tides.

About Penny Lisowski

Penny Lisowski

Award winning photographer, Penny Lisowski, started using a Nikon 35mm camera in1979. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio and now lives with her childhood sweetheart, Chuck in Winder, Ga. to be near their family,including grandsons Ryan and Greg. In 1992 her husband, Chuck, encouraged her to enter her first exhibition at Photo 92. That first ribbon was just the beginning and since then Penny has won awards at many art shows and exhibitions. In addition to the awards her work is displayed in businesses and homes throughout the country. In her quest to learn more she graduated from the New York Institute of Photography, home study course. She also attended several photography semesters at the local community college. In the early 2000's she...
