This Manatee came right out of the water next to us while he was playing at the Blairs Cove in Indian River Lagoon. This was the only one and only time that came this far out of the water. There is also a manatee observation dock but they are usually better seen here at the boat dock. They were awesome to watch. Blairs Cove boat dock is located on Merritt Island National Refuge. Go to the visitors center first for info and map.

Award winning photographer, Penny Lisowski, started using a Nikon 35mm camera in1979. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio and now lives with her childhood sweetheart, Chuck in Winder, Ga. to be near their family,including grandsons Ryan and Greg. In 1992 her husband, Chuck, encouraged her to enter her first exhibition at Photo 92. That first ribbon was just the beginning and since then Penny has won awards at many art shows and exhibitions. In addition to the awards her work is displayed in businesses and homes throughout the country. In her quest to learn more she graduated from the New York Institute of Photography, home study course.
