Description
These beautiful purple bearded irises are growing in my yard next to my pond with a waterfall. I took several exposures. This is one spotlights the sun shining on the two main ireses. This caught my attention and I wanted to share them with you. Bearded irises are identified by thick, bushy "beards" on each of the falls (lower petals) of the blossoms. Originally, most bearded irises were native to central and southern Europe.
