I captured this Lady Gouldian Finch at a Garden in Florida. I was impressed with the finch's colors. The lady gouldian finch is also known as the Rainbow Finch how appropriate. This finch is native to Australia and there is strong evidence of a continuing decline. I have never seen a finch with such beautiful colors.
Award winning photographer, Penny Lisowski, started using a Nikon 35mm camera in1979. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio and now lives with her childhood sweetheart, Chuck in Winder, Ga. to be near their family,including grandsons Ryan and Greg. In 1992 her husband, Chuck, encouraged her to enter her first exhibition at Photo 92. That first ribbon was just the beginning and since then Penny has won awards at many art shows and exhibitions. In addition to the awards her work is displayed in businesses and homes throughout the country. In her quest to learn more she graduated from the New York Institute of Photography, home study course.
