I captured this image at one of the stops on the bus trip to Eielson. This was taken in June and the water level was low. The scenery is amazing. My goal is to capture the scene as I remember it not how the camera captures it. We all know the disappointment when looking at our photos. For those of you that have visited Denali Park, I hope it brings back good memories. For those you have not visited yet, please enjoy. Please see my other Denali images to get more information regarding my trip. The Toklat River is an 85-mile (137 km) tributary of the Kantishna River in central Alaska in the United States. It drains an area on the north slope of theAlaska Range on the south edge of the Tanana Valley southwest of Fairbanks. It issues from unnamed glaciers in the northern Alaska Range in Denali National Park and Preserve, northeast of Mount McKinley.[3] It flows...

Penny, you've effectively brought viewers into the awesome depth of this long view, and inadvertently brought home to us what's happening to formerly overflowing rivers in the 'Lower 48'--while displaying Mt. Mckinley in all its glory!

Penny, Just paid your Land and Sea gallery a surprise visit from the Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery group and fav and liked all 54 great images. Love the various photos in the gallery and the great clarity in all of your shots. But this one really caught my eye and I loved the great details in the foreground and background and the amazing depth in this photo along with the tops of the mountains which almost appear to be 3-D. Excellent clarity in this shot and great sky capture, fav and liked and promoted it

This is Awesome! An very much how I remember it as well! We too did the bus ride in to the Kantishna Lodge.... We got to see many different animals, and so much landscape unrivaled by anything I've ever seen elsewhere! The photo I use for my FAA profile, was taken at the third and last rest stop before the lodge, we had fun posing with the Giant Caribou and Moose Horns! Thank you for the memory lane moment! V&F! ❤
