This is a venamous snake known as Cottonmouth or Water Moccasin( Agistrodon piscivorus conanti). Altough renowned as dangerous and "aggressive", the cottonmouth is the least potent of the venomous snakes in Florida, Below is some interesting bio-facts. When alarmed or threatened this snake will gape its mouth to expose its white cotton lining and curved fangs. Many non-venemous snakes are misidentifed and persecuted due to their similarity of appearance to the cottonmouth. This snake is found in south eastern USA.
