This turaco sure is beautiful. Animals all seem to have an expression on their face. He difinitely knows I am there and is looking at me. His colors seem so unique to me. Such a pretty green with the royal blue and the red ring around his black eye.
The White-crested Turaco (Tauraco leucolophus) is a turaco, a group of near-passerines. Near passerine or higher land-bird assemblage are terms often given to tree-dwelling birds. The White-crested Turaco is native to riverine forest and woodland in a belt between eastern Nigeria and western Kenya.
