This Blue-bellied Roller (Coracias cyanogaster) has such a fun name and is a member of the roller family of birds. He is found in Africa and eats insects (insectivore). He is somewhat common but its population is decreasing. I was happy to find him in such a perfect setting with a nice composition. The blue color probably does not come from a pigments but is usually a light reflector. Male and Females are similar unlike most birds.
